SONGS

Once Upon A Time In Texas is a series of songs that portray and celebrate the bigger-than-life history, culture, and folklore of Texas.  Here are some of those songs:

The Crash At Crush -  The dramatic tale of an 1896 train wreck staged by the Katy Railroad near Waco.  This song serves to exemplify that much of our history has been all but forgotten and waits to be rediscovered by inquisitive minds.  Hear MP3

Revolution - A multiple song suite that begins with a stirring recitation of Colonel Travis' famous letter from The Alamo, then moves through the epic Ballad Of The Alamo, the massacre at Goliad, and General Sam Houston's ultimate victory at San Jacinto.  Hear MP3 1   Hear MP3 2   Hear MP3 3

Indianola - The tale of a once-thriving Texas seaport town.  Many of Texas' earliest immigrants arrived in Indianola.  The town was destroyed by hurricane in 1875, but was rebuilt.  When a second hurricane ravaged the area in 1886, Indianola was abandoned and now stands as a ghost town along the Texas coast.  Hear MP3

Man Walks Among Us - This song paints a vivid picture of an early explorer surveying the raw, natural beauty of Texas, it's plants, animals, and endless skies... and imagining a time when much of this beauty will be replaced by thriving cities.  Hear MP3

Doggone Cowboy - A first-person look at the life of the mythical Texas cowboy, driving the herd through searing heat and numbing cold, from Kansas into Texas, along the old Chisolm Trail, and into the very heart of Texas history.

Pico De Gallo - A celebration of the spicy cuisine of Texas, and an exercise in songwriting gone awry, Pico De Gallo is a hilarious sing-along in which the audience is encouraged to participate.

I've Been Everywhere (In Texas) - Brian's most successful song, it mentions just a few (91) of the places he's been, and everyone loves to sing along to this one!  Hear MP3
